Sources and use of BAM-Net Lab
This release is a nonprofit scientific research and education demonstration. Figures and numeric exports are processed derivatives; raw model and satellite archives are excluded. Source time, units, grids, missing values, processing methods and provenance hashes remain in the scientific metadata. Workstation paths have been reduced to source basenames.
- ERA5: contains modified Copernicus Climate Change Service information. ECMWF / Copernicus provide the source reanalysis; neither endorses this Lab. Dataset and terms.
- Himawari-8/9 L1 gridded B03/B13 imagery: original data supplied by the P-Tree System, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), using Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) observations. Cropped, calibrated display and numeric derivatives are prepared by BAM-Net Lab. These are JAXA L1 gridded products, not redistributed JMA Himawari Standard Data files. Pre-February 2026 observations are used for nonprofit research and education. Product guidance, P-Tree terms, Research-data terms.
- MODIS MOD13Q1 v061 NDVI: NASA LP DAAC / USGS; processed area means with quality masks. Dataset and use terms.
- SRTMGL1 v003 elevation: NASA / USGS; processed display grid. Dataset and use terms.
- Population density: CIESIN, Columbia University / NASA SEDAC, GPWv4 revision 11, 2020 estimate; CC BY 4.0. Dataset and citation.
- Land cover: ESA WorldCover 2021 v200; CC BY 4.0. Resampled derivatives. Dataset and citation.
- Natural Earth generalized boundaries: public domain. Terms. Live OpenStreetMap and Esri basemaps retain their own attributions and use terms; no cached tiles are included.
- WRF simulations: user-provided WRF 4.8.0 outputs; processed surface fields, cross-sections and integrated water paths. No raw WRF model archives are published.
- BAM-Net cameras and station metadata: user-provided research collection. The release contains 539 originals and selected display derivatives. Empirical tint correction and provisional time, camera orientation and cloud-height assumptions are documented in the Lab. No general reuse licence is asserted for user-provided material.
